‘Pairings with a Purpose’ to benefit children in need
As summer draws nearer and schools begin to close their doors for a few months, many children throughout the county will face the difficulty of losing access to breakfast and lunch programs.
To support those in need, Feeding San Diego will host “Pairings with a Purpose” on Saturday, April 15 at Bobby Riggs Tennis Club & Museum in Encinitas. From noon to 4 p.m., guests can enjoy food, beer and wine from San Diego and Baja’s finest establishments.
Chefs in attendance will include Javier Plascencia, Top Chefs contestants Chad White and Jeremy Ford and many others. Guests can pair their unlimited tastings with beverages from Belching Beaver Brewery, Adobe Guadalupe Vineyards, Charceau Aloe Liquer and more.
All proceeds will benefit programs that provide children with meals in the summer. General admission tickets are $75 for unlimited food and drink pairings, tasting glasses, raffles and silent auctions. VIP tickets are $150 for early entrance with cooking demos with the participating chefs and VIP parking.
