Inaugural 2018 event on Feb. 2 includes beer and scotch pairings.
Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa will bring delectable scotch and beer to its hacienda-style resort on Friday, Feb. 2, an event that will kick off the 2018 “By the Barrel” five-part series.
Attendees of the inaugural sold-out part of the series will have access to unlimited tastings from the Estancia culinary team’s hand-selected drinks, which feature Macallan single malt whiskies and barrel-aged beers from Ballast Point. During each course of the family-style dinner will be a scotch and beer pairing.
Ambassadors from Ballast Point and Macallan will be at a sip and speak during the welcome reception, where guests can learn more about the featured drinks.
To tie the ambiance together, live music will be performed by Highland Way.
The event runs from 7-9 p.m. Tickets start at $110 and include the unlimited Macallan and Ballast Point tastings, family-style dinner, live entertainment and complimentary valet parking.
