“I do not like green eggs and ham.” Well, maybe I will if it’s pancetta, the eggs are poached and it’s accompanied by an IPA.

In its eighth year, over 20 of San Diego’s finest chefs will create unique dishes inspired by their favorite books at “Eat.Drink.Read. A Culinary Event for Literacy.”

On Thursday, May 18, guests will gather at the San Diego Air & Space Museum to support San Diego County on Literacy, an organization that aims to assist children and adults with their reading skills and comprehension.

From 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., chefs, winemakers, brewers and distillers will bring stories to life through their “imaginative dishes” and cocktails.

Tickets are $75 and can be purchased at literacysandiego.org.
