Bacon-lovers, don’t miss this event
All hail bacon!
The Bacon & Barrels festival arrives in San Diego on Saturday, May 9. Bacon-lovers are invited to indulge in the culinary creations from local chefs along with specialty craft barrel beverages at the Embarcadero Marina Park.
A ticket to the all-day festival ensures unlimited tastings of imaginative recipes all incorporating and celebrating the great bacon. Over 100 food and libation booths are expected to attend. Barreled up to pair will be bourbon, scotch, tequila, beer and wine. Throughout the day, live music from ‘90s With Attitude and Black Crystal Wolf Kids will play.
Those who take their bacon and spirits very seriously can opt for the V.I.P. (Very Important Pig) experience. V.I.P.s receive early entry into the fest, access to a special lounge and special V.I.P.-only tastings, passed samples and preferred seating.
Bacon & Barrels will donate a percentage of all ticket sales to support under-served children through the Create Community Foundation.
Info: 12 p.m. for VIP; 1 p.m. for general admission. General admission tickets are $50, designated driver admission (no alcohol) are $20 and the V.I.P. tickets are $90. Embarcadero Marina Park South, 1 Marina Park Way.
