Alcohol on call

Share

When you’re in the mood to booze, it’s helpful to know that you don’t even have to step out of your house to grab it. Much like popular food delivery services, alcohol delivery, via apps and websites, is now on the up-and-up in San Diego.

Like a regular bar, alcohol delivery services require age verification with a valid ID, and they won’t deliver to someone who is already intoxicated. So, dude, maintain, and choose from any of these solid alcohol delivery options.

Amazon Prime

In addition to all the perks an Amazon Prime account will get you, Amazon Prime Now offers alcohol delivery via grocery stores - like Sprouts and Whole Foods - and liquor stores like Keg N Bottle. If used often enough (which, let’s face it, you will use it often just for booze), the $99 Amazon Prime annual membership fee practically pays for itself.

Crafthounds

If beer is the preferred alcoholic beverage for delivery, Crafthounds is a great option. The company allows you to search its database of more than 4,000 beers to find exactly what’s desired, in addition to providing the real-time prices that are offered at stores near you. This service is a go-to for craft beer lovers that can’t make it to the store to browse bottles of their favorite brews. To receive free delivery, use code “PACIFICSANDIEGO”.

In addition to delivery, a retail store where customers can purchase growlers and TORPs is located at 5296 Linda Vista Rd.

Saucey

Saucey is one of the original alcohol delivery services in San Diego that promises delivery within 20 to 40 minutes of placing an order. The alcohol prices on Saucey include delivery, so they may look a little steep while browsing on the app. One of the most unique features on this service is the ability to order a mixologist to come to your home for a party. That’s an expert party host move, for sure.
