Belching Beaver Brewery: Liquid Gold beer float

Style: Milk stout float

ABV: 5.3% (for a full pint of Peanut Butter Milk Stout)

Pair with: chocolate sauce, s'mores or another beer

This delicious, decadent creation comes to us from Belching Beaver Brewery in North Park. The brewery is well-known for their flavorful stouts of the milk and peanut butter variety. Did you know that they also make stout-based ice cream floats at the North Park tasting room? Yep, that’s right. Dessert with a boozy kick.

There are rotating varieties of flavors available on occasion, but the Liquid Gold is one of the most popular staple floats readily available each time you stop in the tasting room. This tasty treat is made with Belching Beaver’s own peanut butter stout, Reese’s peanut butter ice cream and topped with whipped cream, chocolate sauce and a peanut butter cup candy. The flavor of sweet, peanut butter ice cream paired with this beer is genius. The beer itself has a creamy mouthfeel with flavors of cocoa, chocolate liqueur and roasted peanut butter.

The stout floats are only available at the North Park location. Get it while it’s cold.

Belching Beaver, 4223 30th St., North Park.
