SD Festival of Beer celebrates 21st birthday
Need another excuse to enjoy all the spectacular beers we have in San Diego, and then some? Well, get your palate ready. The San Diego Festival of Beer returns Friday, Sept. 18 to the Broadway Pier from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event, celebrating its 21st birthday this year, features more than 60 breweries, allowing event goers to taste a little bit of everything from all across the nation.
The unique part of this festival is that it doubles as a fundraiser to fight cancer. That’s right, drink beer and do good all in one fell swoop! The event is put on by the nonprofit organization San Diego Professionals Against Cancer. The event boasts live entertainment, local food and of course tons of delicious craft beer for your enjoyment. To add to the incentive of donating and being a part of the monumental brew-lovers event, ticket holders will receive a promotional code allowing them to earn up to 50 percent off Padres tickets for upcoming games versus the San Francisco Giants and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The first 1,500 guests will receive a free souvenir tasting mug. General admission tickets are $50 and designated driver tickets are $20. Tickets can be purchased at ticketderby.com.
