Cheese please: A mac ‘n’ cheese throwdown is happening
We know that you all love that gooey, cheesy, carb-filled creation known, of course, as mac ‘n’ cheese. You can pair the classic dish with some delicious craft beer over at Pure Project Brewing at their upcoming Mac ‘n’ Cheese Throwdown, from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 22.
The event offers attendees a chance to create their own unique macaroni and cheese recipe to bring into the tap room for other participants, friends and family members to judge. To participate in the throwdown, “chefs” must use a Pure Project beer in their recipe, fill their growler of said beer by Jan. 20, provide their own crockpot or dish for serving on site, turn in a description of the creation and drop off the mac ‘n’ cheese the day of the event at the tasting room.
Winners will be rewarded with prizes. For more information about registering, stop by Pure Project or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with registration information. The email should include a description, tasting notes and details about the dish.
Registration will close on Friday, Jan. 20. This event is free to attend.
Some of Pure Project’s previous throwdowns in 2016 included a “chowdah” throwdown and a “holy guacamole” throwdown. Keep your eyes peeled for more fun, tasty throwdowns coming up in 2017.
