Modern Times rolls out new brews at BEERology

Share

Calling all craft beer connoisseurs: Modern Times invites you to come out and taste some of their special release beers at the BEERology event, taking place at The Westgate Hotel on Friday, Oct. 9. Modern Times’ own beer aficionado, Phil MacNitt, will lead the tasting of some of their most rare, handcrafted beers.

Event-goers will hear the gospel of the craft beer community from “The Beer Jesus” himself, including its history, future and a debriefing of the showcased brews.

The tastings will include two special releases: Lost Horizon Double IPA and the Fruitlands Sour Cherry Gose. Guests can also look forward to trying two year-round brews: Lomaland Saison and Black House, as well as their seasonal Aurora Red Rye IPA.

But not to fear - food will be near! Appetizers specially made by Westgate’s Executive Chef, Fabrice Hardel, will be paired with each beer.

The event will take place in the heart of downtown at the Riviera Fountain Terrace inside The Westgate Hotel. San Diego’s own DJ Alexi will be spinning tracks all evening.

Oh, and definitely go full-out on your garden party attire. The best dressed attendee will win a free stay at The Westgate Hotel and brunch for two.

BEERology starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $42 and can be purchased online at eventbrite.com.
