Stone Brewing to kick off comic festivities with Hop-Con

With the madness of Comic-Con, you may need to take the edge off with a brew or two... or even five. Luckily, Stone Brewing can prepare convention-goers for the mayhem to come, and help drown the sorrows of those who weren’t lucky enough to score a badge.

In its fifth year, the Hop-Con 5.0 festival will return to Stone Brewing’s Point Loma location. From 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on July 19, guests are invited to sample brews and food, play games and prepare for a weekend of comic fun.

This year, Stone Brewing will feature five versions of the Drew Curtis/Wil Wheaton/Greg Koch Stone Farking Wheaton w00tstout, all of which will be available for guests to sample.

Tickets are $75 and include 15 three-ounce beer samples, unlimited gourmet food tastings, a commemorative Hop-Con 5.0 glass and more. Stone Brewing is also offering designated driver tickets for $40.
