Take it from the tap: An Eppig adventure

Share

Go: Eppig Waterfront Biergarten

Know: Two-year-old Eppig Brewing’s home base is in North Park, but its Point Loma outpost is the summer go-to. It’s a sweet place to catch bay breezes pierside, while sipping German-style brews such as zwickelbier. Check out PACIFIC’s Day Drinking Facebook Live recorded at Eppig, here.

Pro: Co-owner Stephanie Eppig is descended from Leonhard Eppig, who co-founded the original Eppig Brewery in Brooklyn in 1866.

Glow: There’s outdoor and indoor seating, but the entire place — in and out — is bathed in sunshine. You’ll want to linger, so slather on the SPF 50.

Swallow: Sandwiches and chips are usually available here, and this is a regular food truck destination. Still hungry? Stroll next door to Point Loma Seafoods.
