Why: Late summer and early fall, freshly harvested hops are rushed to breweries to make wet hop beers. Circle is made with 100 pounds of just-plucked Cascade hops from Ramona’s Star B Ranch.
Geeking out: 5.2% alcohol by volume, 45 international bittering units.
Seeking out: Now on tap at the brewery’s tasting room in El Cajon.
Inside info: Burning Beard and Julian’s Nickel Beer are collaborating on another wet hop beer this season, Room 101, featuring Neo-Mexicanus hops.
