Bing Crosby Season heads back to the track this fall

If you haven’t made it out to the Del Mar Racetrack this summer or simply can’t get enough, the Bing Crosby Season has announced a smashing return for the fall, a part two if you will to the racing season with a few bonus concerts and events sprinkled in between.

The fall season runs from Nov. 11 to Dec. 4. This is the third year of the addition of Bing Crosby Season, honoring the track’s legendary founder.

Opening Day on Friday, Nov. 11 will be a stylish affair complete with a Hollywood fashion contest. Hollywood-ensembles or celebrity doppelgängers can enter to win up to $3,000 in prizes. Categories include most glamorous, best dressed couple, best celebrity lookalike and famous character.

Concerts this season are set to spotlight Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals on Nov. 12 and Reggae Fest featuring Iration on Nov. 19. Beyond the music, the Craft Beer and Cider Festival and Food Truck Festival both take place on Nov. 26, while the Thanksgiving Family Fun Run on Nov. 24 kicks off at 8 a.m. for a one-mile loop on the track.

Every Saturday throughout the fall season, Daybreak at Del Mar offers a fresh breakfast during the morning workouts from 8 to 10 a.m. On Sundays, brunch will be served in a Taste of the Turf Club package that includes bottomless mimosas, a rotating menu by Brian Malarkey and a Turf Club table for the race day.

Racing during the Bing Crosby Season will take place Thursday through Sunday with a post time of 12:30 p.m. On Thanksgiving Day, with first post will be at 11 a.m. Admission is $6 ($3 for Diamond Club members). All concerts are 18-and-up.
