12.9: Toast of Gaslamp
On Saturday Dec. 9, stroll around the Gaslamp and enjoy an evening of cocktails and bites during the Toast of Gaslamp.
The annual event is a self-guided tour where tickets can be used to redeem 20 sips, 20 bites and 20 shopping deals at more than two dozen participating venues.

12.10: Gaslamp Holiday Pet Parade
To all pet owners who’d like to prove how adorable your pet is, the Gaslamp Holiday Pet Parade is the place to do so.
Returning for the 10th year on Sunday, Dec. 10, the annual holiday tradition, sponsored by The San Diego Union-Tribune, kicks off and ends at the MLK Promenade Park (just northeast of Harbor Drive between Third and Fourth avenues downtown).
The event is open to all types of pets and the contenst will feature nine costume categories, with judging ahead of the parade and winners being announced at the end. As is tradition, the winner of the Best in Show category will be invited to lead next year’s parade as Grand Marshall.
Live music and a free pet expo showcasing over 25 different pet-related products will also be featured.
During and after the parade, pet lovers will have access to certain happy hour specials at participating businesses downtown.
