It’s Da Bomb

Outside the Tilted Kilt next to Petco Park, a chalkboard features arrows pointing in opposite directions, the upper labeled “Beer,” the lower “Reality.” Somewhere between these two paradigms, and just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, exists this updated version of the ubiquitous Irish Car Bomb cocktail.
“I didn’t invent it, but I drink a lot of them,” says kilted bartender Christina Tejada. “They’re my version of a milkshake.”
To bring the boys to the yard*, Tejada combines 3/4 of an ounce of Bailey’s Irish Cream with the same measure of Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey in a shot glass, which she serves alongside a pint glass holding five ounces of Guinness. “Drop the glass in the Guinness and chug,” she says.
The Irish Car Bomb, a popular Tilted Kilt specialty year-round, is sure to flow in rivers on March 17, the restaurant’s seventh anniversary. Have two, then celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with mirrors on the tops of your shoes. Good luck!

*My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard,
And they’re like
It’s better than yours,
Damn right it’s better than yours,
I can teach you,
But I have to charge
