Cannonball to host Red Bull Air Race pre-party

It’s time for the annual Red Bull Air Race! The official pre-party celebration, hosted by Skyy Vodka and Fortune421, will be kicking off on Oct. 2 at Cannonball in Mission Beach from 7 to 11 p.m.

For those who are not familiar with the epic Las Vegas aerial event, it’s a world championship that includes some of the most skilled pilots maneuvering through an above-ground racetrack. The planes fly at a very low altitude while attempting to earn the quickest time with the least amount of errors, making for a daring and dangerous competition.

All Cannonball attendees will be given the chance to win a free trip for two to Las Vegas for the show by entering a raffle, hosted by local radio station 94.9, broadcasting live from the event. To qualify, attendees must sign up on the 94.9 website before the Oct. 2 date.

The pre-party will feature drink specials at the Skyy Vodka cocktail hour from 7 to 8 p.m. Dance to live music night long, with four different sets to enjoy by local DJs Travis Emmons, Brady Spear, J-Sin and Ayla Simone.
