Tuesdays are for groovin’ at True North Tavern

It’s Tuesday night again, and you’re feeling bogged down knowing there’s still a long week ahead. Clearly, you need a soul-booster. Great news: Soul Jam is happening every Tuesday night from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at True North Tavern to help you get your back up off the wall.

DJ sets will be dripping with soul and funk music including Motown, Nujazz and AfroBeat. The drink specials start at 7 p.m. and include $4 Sailor Jerry shots and $5 craft beers. True North also provides some grub like beef stroganoff mac ‘n cheese, fried artichokes, loaded tots and burgers. Oh, and don’t forget to order some of their “Bomb Ass Biscuits” with fried chicken, fried eggs and bacon... Need we say more?

The event also hosts artists to create live masterpieces at each Soul Jam. Patrons can join in on “community brush strokes,” is a large canvas that anyone can contribute to while gettin’ groovy on the dance floor. The canvas is raffled off at the end of the night.

There is no cover charge. This venue is 21-and-up.
