If you’ve snagged a seat at Halcyon or Stella Public House recently in East Village, you’ve likely noticed the work being completed on the adjacent park. Today, the gates officially came down on the new Fault Line Park, a 1.3 acre space open to all.
This is the first public park to debut in East Village in more than a decade. Locals can relax around the children’s playground, the grassy open space and the ample seating areas. There’s also public art on display and an intimate garden to wander through. The park lays directly over Rose Canyon Fault, marked by a walk-way through the center.
Mayor Kevin Faulconer and Councilman Todd Gloria helped unveil the new City of San Diego park today, which will be maintained by Pinnacle International. Also next to the park is the brand new Pinnacle On The Park residential development, a 46-story high-rise featuring 484 units.
Fault line Park is located at 1433 Island Ave.
