Share

Come on in, the water’s just fine! Get up, get out and paddle or kayak around Mission Bay’s Vacation Isle at the second annual Pints and Paddles for a Cause event on Sunday, Nov. 15.

The day of water sports will begin with two-mile pro race heat from 9 to 10 a.m. and an amateur race heat from 10 to 11 a.m. After the competition, event-goers are welcome to join in on the recreational paddle around the cove. Pint and Paddles aims to raise funds for Team River Runner, a non-profit that leads wounded veterans to recovery through kayak and paddling programs.

All participants will receive a glass to use for the event’s official after-party at Barefoot Bar and Grill from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The “Pints for A Cause” after-party will be filled to the brim with Ninanski Brewing beer to enjoy. The celebration will also feature live music from Private Domain, a raffle, prizes and a silent auction.

An event t-shirt, a Ninkaski Brewing Co. logo pint glass and a raffle ticket will be given to all participants. Attendees must bring their own SUP or kayak. Recreational paddlers can utilize equipment provided by Ninanski Brewing Co.

Tickets are $45 for pro race; $35 for amateur race; $15-$30 for recreational paddle.
