Farmers Insurance Open brings the fun to Torrey Pines

Share

We hope you are ready to get your golf on because it’s time again “FORE!” the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines, teeing off on Thursday Jan. 28 through Sunday Jan 31. Whether you’re a die-hard golf fan or a total newbie, there are tons of golf-ish activities going on for all to enjoy while watching the tournament.

First stop: Opening Day Ultra Social Crawl

This don’t-miss event, presented by Michelob Ultra, will kick-off on opening day, Jan. 28. Get Torrey’d up and enjoy an afternoon of golf, live music, cold brews, cocktails and prizes provided by 91X. Don’t forget to dress in your “Torrey best” as you hit a few of the Budweiser Oasis bars, who will take photos of guests to determine the best dressed and most spirited attendees. Prizes will be awarded at the Michelbob Ultra Prize Tent on the 19th Hole.

Second stop: The Fringe

Stop by the 15th green, located in the SERVPRO Fan Village, to party in style at The Fringe. This year’s set-up will be larger to provide a more comfortable experience, while still offering the enjoyable open-air, covered seating and outdoor patio viewing. The vibe at this hot-spot is that of a sports bar, but with quality drinks and stellar live music on the Harrah’s Resort SoCal stage. The festivities will kick off at 3:30 p.m. each day. Tickets are $90 per day; $270 for the week.

Third stop: Grey Goose Lounge & Michelob Ultra Oasis

The Grey Goose Lounge offers signature vodka cocktails with a gorgeous view of the course, nearby the 8th green and 18th fairway, which is where the Michelob Ultra Oasis is located. At the Oasis, you can sample the latest specialty brews from Michelob while watching the epic golf tourney go down. All guests must be 21-and-up to enter these areas.
