When Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh and the Barrett brothers (bassist Aston and drummer Carlton) formed various incarnations of The Wailers in the 1960s-70s, they helped forge the roots reggae genre-at the same time creating an enduring band that has sold more than 250 million albums worldwide.Today, although comprised mostly of newcomers, The Wailers continue their heartbeat-tempo tradition with original band- mate Aston Barrett (pictured, far left) and the late Marley’s able stand-in, Jamaican singer Koolant Brown (far right).
