Angelo Sosa, the Encinitas celebrity chef who competed last fall on Bravo’s “Top Chef: All-Stars” series, was also featured in a recent episode of the new HBO Max series “Selena + Chef.”

The 10-episode series features pop singer Selena Gomez preparing dishes with 10 famous chefs via a live video link from their home kitchens. Other featured chefs on the series include Nancy Silverton, Roy Choi and Ludo Lefebvre.

Sosa, who is currently executive chef at Small Barn bistro in Old Town Temecula, appeared in the Aug. 27 episode, where he taught Gomez how to make guacamole dusted with white chocolate and Baja fried rice.

In lieu of appearance fees, the chefs each received a $10,000 donation to their favorite charities. Sosa chose Feeding San Diego. The episode can be seen at hbomax.com.
