Local businesses lend a hand to victims of Mexico City earthquake

For brethren in need, it doesn't matter if it's someone next door or more than 1,500 miles away, San Diegans are stepping up to lend a helping hand. In the case of the recent earthquake to hit Mexico City, here are some local businesses hosting events with some or all of their proceeds going toward relief efforts.

On Friday, Sept. 29, An Electronic Gift for Mexico City will play host to Tijuana's electronica leaders Nortec Collective for a night that merges electronics with popular music of northern Mexico. Also on hand will be Machino, DJ IDeaL, Ese' & Zain, and Viejo Lowbo.
