Manifestos are the exception, not the rule, for music festivals. But San Diego IndieFest has striven for nearly a decade to promote its ideals by showcasing hundreds of mostly under-the-radar bands, solo artists and filmmakers.
In the words of its co-founders, local music mainstays Danielle LoPresti and Alicia Champion: "San Diego IndieFest enriches the diversity and culture that make our communities unique by celebrating independent music, art, business, and thought, thereby creating positive change in our city and beyond."
This year, it is IndieFest itself that is changing.
The 2015 edition will be held Saturday at Officer Jeremy Henwood...
