Annual event is toast to summertime in Chula Vista

The sun meets the sand and plenty of fun will be on hand when HarborFest comes to Chula Vista on Saturday, Aug. 19. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. this annual event will feature four stages of live entertainment and music (headlined by Eve6), delicious food and drinks, and more at Bayside Park at the Chula Vista Marina.

Regional Mexican restaurants, distilleries and breweries are eager to participate in the Tacos, Spirits & Craft Beer Revolution, where attendees get to vote for the best taco and best spirit. Tasting tickets for this portion of HarborFest include unlimited taco and drink samples ($25 in advance, $30 at HarborFest; taco-only tickets are $20 in advance and $25 day of).

For those who are more into grapes, the champagne, rosé and wine tasting area is the place to be. There, $10 provides two samples and one full pour of a wide variety of bubbly, whites, reds and rosés.

Four stages will keep the energy and spirit up all day, with a diverse selection of musical acts and entertainers. Rock out at the HarborFest Main Stage, presented by the Port of San Diego, with headliner Eve6 and other indie rock bands, while sipping an ice cold beer or margarita.

If dancing isn't at the top of the list, head over to the yoga zone and stretch to new limits. To complete the day, Food Truck Alley will have foodies feeling like they're in heaven with tons of mouthwatering options.

Prefer a more relaxed pace? Stroll through Art in the Park, featuring stunning pieces from local artists, check out the classic car show or visit the Green Zone to learn about how Chula Vista became one of the nation's most environmentally-focused cities.

Don't miss the pet parade with some of the most adorable and best-dressed pups around. Afterward, dogs can hang out in the shaded Pet Oasis, where they can enjoy cold water and treats from various vendors.

People and pets both will find fun down at Bayside Park at the Chula Vista HarborFest. Learn more about HarborFest at cvharborfest.com.
