Daniel Wheaton is a graphics and data reporter who came to The San Diego Union-Tribune from Nebraska. His work has previously appeared in the Omaha World-Herald and Newsday, as well as several other Nebraska newspapers and radio stations. While at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, he helped explore the use of drones for journalism and worked on several data and coding projects.
