The Montreal-based DJ duo of Gordon Huntley and Erick Muise has remixed the likes of Steve Aoki, Porter Robinson and Jack Beats. After collaborating with LOUDPVCK and Snails earlier in the year, their latest single, Don’t Need U, was released in August.  — Scott McDonald

Argh, mateys. It’s a day of all things pirate. Visitors to the bayfront Seaport Village are encouraged to dress like a pirate, especially to participate in the “Talk Like a Pirate,” “Best Pirate Costume, and “Best Pirate Pet Costume” contests.

9.17: Women Ride IB

Hundreds of women will take to the streets of South County for the inaugural Women Ride IB event. Designed to celebrate the female bicycling community, the ride (which includes a casual and trail options) will benefit the San Diego County Bike Coalition.
