Puesto celebrates five years with new tacos

Celebrate Puesto’s five years of taco success with a few new flavors over the next three months.

When Puesto first opened doors five years ago, they made a splash in the downtown La Jolla scene. Finally, elevated Mexican eats and a vibrant energy joined the mix around La Jolla Cove. 

Five years later, Puesto still stands as one of San Diego’s most popular dining destinations, adding the gorgeously-designed second outpost at The Headquarters along the way. 

To celebrate those oh-so-crispy, melted cheese tacos in style, Puesto will feature a new, innovative “taco of the month” for the next year. At both locations (and at their new location in Irvine), guests can order a chipotle pork tinga taco made with braised pork shoulder, chorizo, potato, chipotle, avocado, cilantro, queso fresco and chicharr√≥n in February; grilled panela, salsa fresca and seasonal vegetable taco in March; and goat cheese chorizo fundido and pork belly made with crispy melted cheese, pickled red onion, roasted garlic and red chile salsa and micro cilantro in April.
