To usher in 2017, we’ve gathered some of the hottest restaurants around San Diego ideal for celebrating, dining and toasting to a new year. Here are our top picks.

The Cork & Craft – Rancho Bernardo

If you find yourself in North County for NYE, Cork & Craft has quite the spread. Their executive chef, Scott Cannon, will be providing a memorable five-course menu with starters of lobster bisque, caviar and smoke crème fraiche. Next, dine on entrées like the roasted quail and crusted wagyu sirloin. Make sure to save room for dessert, as well as drinks from Cork & Craft’s in-house brewery, Abnormal Beer Co.

3 to 10 p.m. $65. 16990 Via Tazon, Rancho Bernardo.

2015.12.16 -- Served at The Cork and Craft, Wagyu beef tartare ($14). Showing off Esteban's Asian-leaning personal tastes and knowledge of traditional French cuisine, this umami bomb-take on the classic is thrilling with its cured egg yolk, aerated umeboshi, nori croutons and pickled radish that you mix in with silky rich, minced beef.
