Get ready to say “cheers” to your buddies while sipping stellar brews at the San Diego Brew Festival, which is making its hoppy return to Liberty Station in Point Loma on Saturday, Jan. 7. The seventh annual beer-filled event, which also features live music and food trucks, will have over 40 breweries in attendance offering tasters of their best brews. The festivities will kick off at 1 p.m. and pour on until 4.
Some of the local breweries showing face (and providing tasty beer) at the festival include Thorn Street Brewery, Pure Project, Mike Hess Brewing, Little Miss Brewing, Legacy Brewing Company, Mason Ale Works, Culture Brewing Company, Acoustic Ales Brewing, On The Tracks Brewery, Saint Archer Brewing Company and Ballast Point Brewing Company. Some out-of-town breweries will also be on-site, including Knee Deep Brewing Company, Sierra Nevada Brewing Brewing Company and Bell’s Brewery.
The official food truck list has yet to be announced, but one of the confirmed restaurants offering samples is Slater’s 50/50 (which also has a restaurant location inside Liberty Station). Attendees can jam to live music throughout the event, provided by Black Crystal Wolf Kids and Saved by the 90s.
Tickets are $45 for general admission; $55 for VIP admission, which offers early entry at noon. Each ticket offers unlimited tasters of beer. The event is rain-or-shine and tickets can purchased at eventbrite.com.
