Crazy about tamales? Join the club.

The Escondido Tamale Festival will return to Grape Day Park on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Local restaurants and chefs will prep a slew of tamale flavors for guests to enjoy, alongside a craft beer and wine garden, a Chihuahua costume contest, craft vendors and live entertainment such as mariachi, Latin and Aztec dance performances and a fashion show.

Traditional, gourmet and vegetarian tamales will abound, and attendees can also pre-order their holiday tamales early. A competition for the best tamale will also take place.

The Escondido Tamale Festival is free for all ages.
