Visit Carlsbad launches floral-inspired celebration

Enjoy the best of cuisine, cocktails, wellness and fine flowers at this 10-day floral-inspired event.

One of the most popular landmarks in Carlsbad — if not the most popular — has to be its beautiful flower fields. That floral focus is something the city’s tourism organization, Visit Carlsbad, would like to home in on and showcase to travelers by infusing its famous flowers with wellness, lifestyle and cuisine highlights at venues within the area. The brand-new series, “Petal to Plate,” will last from Thursday, April 20 to Sunday, April 30

Guests will be able to visit several destinations for floral-inspired spa treatments, cuisine, cocktails and wellness experiences. Some noteworthy stops include Omni La Costa Resort & Spa; Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, Golf Club and Spa; Cape Rey Carlsbad; and of course, The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch. Each day will offer a different experience, with a new agenda  and unique locations, menu and options available for attendees.

One of the days’ activities includes a meal at Park Hyatt Aviara Resort’s restaurant, Argyle Steakhouse. Its “Petal to Plate” menu will be offered for $21, which features a main course of seared baja striped bass, a farmer’s market berry tart for dessert and a delicious gin-based cocktail, fittingly called the Carlsbad Wise.
