PACIFIC believes San Diego is the coolest city in the country. The print publication was first published as Pacific Beach Magazine in January 2007. In November 2016, PACIFIC merged with DiscoverSD.com to improve the lives of America's Finest citizens by connecting them with the best the city has to offer — via print, mobile, email, online, social media, Street Team and events.
Editor-in-Chief and Digital Director
After graduating from San Diego State, Hackett started working for The San Diego Union-Tribune as a newsroom page designer. Since then she has moved through different positions at the company, including Content and Product Manager in advertising, Editor of DiscoverSD.com and now works on both the print and website products as Editor-in-Chief and Digital Director of PACIFIC magazine. She is, and always will be, the biggest fan of bacon on the team.
Ianni is a native San Diegan and graduate of Cal State San Marcos. She worked as the letters editor at the former North County Times until 2012, before branching out into the marketing world. She has been at PACIFIC since 2015 and loves that it enables her to merge her loves of San Diego, pop culture and puns.
Creative Director (freelance)
A San Diego native and SDSU graduate Boyer's first job out of college was with Surfing magazine. Dozens of publications later Boyer finds himself at the creative pulse of PACIFIC magazine for the last nine years. Boyer is an avid bodyboarder and proud father of three.
Founder and Publisher of PACIFIC
Perloff developed PACIFIC into one of Southern California's most influential entertainment brands, reaching hundreds of thousands of active consumers via print, social media, email, online, Street Team (guerilla marketing) and events. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Perloff graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in creative writing. He moved to San Diego a week later.
Multi-media Account Executive
A proud San Diego native, Marsolais started working for The San Diego Union-Tribune in 2005 as a multi-media sales representative specializing in health care after graduating from University of Phoenix in 2004. Since then she has moved through different positions at the company, including sales within the real estate, retail and the entertainment sector. She was then promoted to the lead sales representative of PACIFIC Magazine for entertainment brands in 2017.
Multi-Media Account Executive
After graduating from Cal State Fullerton in 2012, Tietze moved to San Diego to begin a career in marketing, event management and advertising. She began at The San Diego Union-Tribune as the Event and Ticketing Account Executive in 2016 and was promoted to Multi-Media Account Executive of PACIFIC magazine.
